The Project

The Corsa Apartment complex in Saint Louis Park, Minnesota is a 250-unit, five-story multifamily building that is transit-oriented and includes sustainable green features and 7,445 square feet of retail space. 10% of the units are classified as affordable housing. 

Corsa Apartments faced several challenges that could have disrupted the project timeline and budget. Inresponse to these challenges, Nystrom presented the HVAC Access Door to house the Single Packaged Vertical Unit (SPVU) in each apartment, which sits in a dedicated closet. The HVAC Door offered a more cost-effective and seamless alternative to the commonly used pre-hung door.

The installer noted, “The HVAC doors were a quick install, and they blend with the wall well.” This decision not only addressed the issues promptly but also seamlessly integrated with the building aesthetics.
