Position Overview

A successful Inside Sales Representative will be highly motivated, responsive, organized, and a critical thinker who will work directly with Area Sales Managers to achieve sales goals. The duties of the Inside Sales Representative include inbound requests from customers, daily quoting, submittals, specification interpretation, technical support, and order management. They will communicate with customers, external sales teams, architects and engineers, with direction from the Inside Sales Manager. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Learn processes involving quoting, submittals, order prepartion, change orders, returns, credit applications, and price adjustments
  • Demonstrate responsiveness to customers and External Sales team through phone and email communication
  • Organize and prioritize daily tasks including incoming requests, follow up, order tracking/status inquiries, etc
  • Gain general product knowledge across all product lines with ability to understand, convey, and apply technical aspects of drawings and specifications to customers
  • Gain industry knowledge to price products accordingly
  • Assist Area Sales Managers, Regional Sales Managers, and External Sales teams in activities to achieve monthly and annual quota goals
  • Learn internal CRM and other systems

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years customer and sales support experience
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications. CRM experience desireable
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Construction background preferred but not required
  • Highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Excels in high paced work environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills to daily tasks and activities
